Jhoan Vergara

Born on March 4, 1996, in Pitalito, Huila, Jhoan Vergara represents a new generation of Colombian coffee producers: deeply rooted in origin, technically trained, and internationally validated through competition.

Son of Edilberto Vergara and Nubia Ayure, and raised alongside his siblings Diego, Carlos, Xiomara, and Leonardo, Jhoan grew up surrounded by coffee and agriculture. His path blends formal education with hands-on mastery—shaping a producer who understands coffee from the farm to the cup.

He completed his studies at Colegio Empresarial de Los Andes in Pitalito and later specialized through SENA, building a solid foundation in specialty coffee production. Over the years, his technical development expanded into roasting, physical and sensory analysis, advanced cupping, and high-level sensory skill training—allowing him to design profiles with precision and intention.
